Europa Group will participate as a sponsoring company in the 9th AutoRevista Automotive Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Conference, which will take place on November 24 in Madrid. Under the title “Resilience and flexibility in the face of the perfect storm”, the event is also sponsored by Automobile Barcelona, Fira de Barcelona. It has been 20 years since this publication organized the first day of its kind.
As of today, the panel of speakers is made up of Beatriz García, head of Connectivity Purchasing, HV-Battery & Powertrain at SEAT, José María Sánchez, head of purchasing at the Teknia Group, a globalized multi-technology Tier 2 supplier, and Jesús Otero, CEO from Europa Group, a firm specializing in customs processing, although its services cover many more areas, up to closing the land and sea transport circuit. Its competencies also include quality service in logistics, coordination of special projects, pallets, etc. He regularly works with automotive components and supplies.
The last two years have raised the tension in the management of purchases of products and services as well as the supply chain to extremes unknown until now. The pandemic, the semiconductor crisis, the shortage of certain raw materials, rising energy costs and the war in Ukraine have created a perfect storm.
Among the topics to be discussed will be addressed:
- Rethinking the just in time model: The chains are highly optimized, but can they be reinforced to mitigate stops
- New options for relocation and approximation of supplies
- Responses to volume variability, taking into account the evolution of new electric and electrified models
- Alternative raw materials both in products and in new markets to explore
- Digitalization of purchasing: software to address disruptions in the supply chain.
- In the coming days, AutoRevista will provide new details of the event and the registration form.
